Simon Cup Back in Familiar Hands

The Simon Cup has once again reached a successful conclusion.

After a total of 18 round 1 matches were played, Ray Hyde took a guaranteed early place in the semi finals by winning 4 from 4, where he then fell to Lee Grinsell. Malcolm Armstrong also progressed with a 100% record (3 from 3), where he despatched with 12x previous winner, Roger Butters.

So in a familiar line up for the final, Malcolm and Lee produced their very own upset by actually providing a decisive result at the first attempt. Malcolm being the victor on this occasion, reclaiming the Cup from last year's winner, Lee.
