For a friendly game of chess, please just turn up on any  Friday evening from 7:30 pm.  There will always be someone to welcome you and whatever your standard, you'll be playing in no time.

If you're seeking more of a challenge, then we have several teams competing in local leagues, and our team captains are always looking for new players.  We have been very successful over the years in the Cannock District league as well as the Wolverhampton district and North Staffs leagues, where some of our newest players find their way into these teams and enjoy competitive games at an appropriate level along with great team spirit. 

If you prefer to feel your way more gradually into competitive chess, then maybe one of our internal club competitions is more your cup of tea.  We run tournaments throughout the year and offer Blitz, Rapid, and of course Classical time controls.
